Exclamation High Def Digest feedback

This is just ridiculous.

http://www.highdefdigest.com/news/sh..._Petition/1374

"300" sells over 300,000 copies on Blu-ray and High Def Digest is posting a news article about the 6,000 signatures the HD DVD petition has received.

Are you kidding me? There is nothing left to be said in the way of defending anything about this site any longer. This article is an outright proclamation of where HDD stands in the format war, which is obviously a desire to see the format war continue and niche status ensured.

Shame on High Def Digest, shame on them.

Oh wait, that's the one that so many BD supporters posted at, making total fun of the Red camp.

I'd go and check if they've pruned the pro-BD posts, but then, they've probably kept them, just to swell their numbers, as per their usual tactics...

Strangely,...

A bunch of Blu Ray fans went to sign the save HD DVD petitition just so they could post anti-DVD comments.

Anyway,.. this is all the news to be had for HD DVD these days.

bah, that guy is a spooge muscle. ppl just need to accept and end so we can all embrace one format. i still dont understand ppl. they will spend 1,000s on a tv and audio, but wont spend 400 on a bd player cause its too expensive.

Welll it looks like those 6000 people did not do their part and buy Warner movies and that is what Warner based its choice on.

To: Warner Brothers, Universal Studios, Paramount Pictures
Dear High Def movie fans, I'm starting this petition in order to support HD-DVD and hopefully save it, and to show Warner Brothers that the consumer has not "clearly" chosen Blu-Ray. Warner Brothers switched to Blu-Ray exclusive claiming that its the best thing for the consumer, but how about all the consumers that bought HD-DVD movies and hardware for the holidays, or all the loyal HD-DVD fans like myself that own Warner HD-DVDs? Warner just screwed them all.

HD-DVD is more alive than ever, with cheaper hardware prices, and better technological capabilities, both of which are better for the consumer. I guess Warner feel higher prices and less features are better. The only thing Blu-Ray has going for it is 20GB of extra storage space, and a big name like Sony backing it up. HD-DVD on the other hand has PIP, web-enabled features, in movie menus, and much more. And if extra space is needed, use another disc, big deal.

So please, sign this petition, and lets get as many votes as we can so we can hopefully change Warner's mind to return to being format neutral, or go HD-DVD exclusive. This would also show the remaining HD-DVD exclusive studios, Universal & Paramount, that HD-DVD still has supporters, thus they shouldn't switch to Blu-Ray. We have a chance to save a superior format from collapsing under the weight of the greedy Sony corporation and its inferior Blu-Ray format, let's do it!

Sincerely,

The Undersigned
The "Save HD DVD, because we hate Sony" petition. Do these people really think that will sway Warner?

It is very sad that HDD sees this as news.

Gary

You've got a very good point there, they probably should have thought through their wording on that a little more...

Oh, and HDD? You have single-handedly proven that you're HD-DVD shill #1.

So much for journalistic integrity. All of a sudden an online petition, the single most pathetic, futile display of desperation there ever was on the internet is now suddenly news worthy?

Hope you're proud .

6000....thats it????

Oh yeah they better re-consider.

I'll bet anything that if you asked each of those people to chip in ONE DOLLLAR for the cause the majority wouldn't.

Can I have a copy of the petition data so I can use it as a lead list to send them Blu-ray targeted advertsiments?
