Default Khz question

When I go under sound settings through HDMI, I can now check the higher khz output. When i do though, it says if my receiver does not support it, then it may damage my speakers. I have an Onkyo 800 series. Does my receiver support this?

Check the manual for your receiver. The answer should be there.

All my manual says is this for each speaker:

Powered Sub
Frequency response: 25 HZ-150 Hz

Front Speaker
Frequency response: 60 HZ-50kHz

Center Speaker
Frequency response: 60 Hz-50kHz

Surround Speaker
Frequency response: 160 Hz-20kHz

I don't know what this means??

From the Onkyo site. 192 kHz/24-Bit DACs for All Channels

These are the frequencies over which your amp will power the speakers. This is totally different from accepting 192khz/24 bit PCM which your receiver does so you should be able to set the PS3 output to the highest setting for each channel like 5.1, 7.1 etc.
