Hey all. I just received my tax return, and I am thinking of using a portion of it to replace a few of the speakers in my HT. Right now my fronts are two old school JBLs, and although they are nice, they only have the spring clip speaker wire inputs, along with a few other minor problems, where I would just like to replace them. I don't want to start a debate on the subject of speaker type, but I have been partial to Polk since setting up my new system, and so I would be planning on RTiA9s or RTiA7s to replace my fronts. I currently have a Yamaha RXV-663 7.2 receiver and I just wanted to know if you guys thought that would be sufficient to appropriately drive these new speakers, or if I should just go ahead and get a 3-channel amp to power the fronts. I was leaning toward thinking I should get an amp, and if so, any suggestions? I want to get something quality but not spend a ton of money on it. Thanks in advance for your help!
