As a dvd business owner I am a movie fan as well and wanted to keep anyone who was interested up to date. I check with my distributor's site daily to see if new Blu-Ray Titles have been announced-these showed up today:

Are We Done Yet? Street Date: August 7th MSRP: $38.95
Final Fantasy: Spirits Within Street Date: August 7th MSRP $28.95
Arlington Road Street Date August 7th MSRP $28.95

Fifth Element (Remastered) Street Date: JUly 17th MSRP: $28.95

These are some more recently announced that you may or may not have heard about:

According to Disney The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, Witch, and the Wardrobe will be the next movie they release after POTC.

Supposedly there is a preview on POTC Blu-ray.

That link is very helpful but it doesn't include all the upcoming pre-orders on it. That is why I was providing that list (for the newer titles that were announced as well).

The Good News on that one is that those titles weren't totally wiped out of the database (which is done if a future release date isn't on the horizon). I can't guarantee anything but I'm guessing it'll be pushed back until later this summer. You will probably see a lot more titles start to appear after Sony Releases it's New/Updated/Less Expensive $599 Blu-Ray Player in July (still waiting on an exact date though)

Yes I know I'm just the messenger-I put them up here everyday that my distrib. puts up the new titles. Unfort. its not as often as I like and unfort.
HD has universal right now who is a releasing a stream of good titles to come out over the summer.

It's honestly a little upsetting that HD has less major studios and for some reason the stream of titles being announced on the Blu-Ray side is slower-I'm sure it'll pick up this summer but I wish it was as quick as what Universal is doing.

I personally believe that Blu-ray is going to come out on top. For myself I only purchase Blu-Ray Titles as this is the format I believe is going to win and as a retailer I sell a lot more Blu-Ray Titles than HD (its about a 10-1 ratio in favor of blu-ray).

I am waiting on the $599 Blu-Ray Player from Sony that is supposed to come out in July (though my reps tell me Sony is known for pushing things back i.e. PS3).

Why wait? What's wrong with the PS3?

I'm really bummed that Ronin was delayed. That is one of my favorites and I was really looking forward to the BD.
