Here are a few heavy hitters that will be on Blu-ray (one's exclusive). If you know of some other titles please list them here!
Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer- Watch the trailer! This should be amazing! (Fox) 300 is another title that should look great on Blu-ray! (Warner Bros.) Transformers (Paramount) ...and of course Spiderman 3! (Sony) ![]() |

What about Warner throwing us a bone with Batman Begins finally, and V is for Vendetta? Any way they look at it, no excuse will do for either movie.

So far it sure seems like Marvel's properties prosper well with BD studios: Spider-man, X-Men, Fantastic Four, The Punisher and Ghost Rider. Didn't do quite well with Hulk though.

Any way you look at it, the big name franchises, the ones that get the box office results, the big DVD sales and all the headlines are all heading to blu-ray.
It will be interesting over the course of this year to see how blu-ray sales of these top franchises affects their DVD counterparts. What I mean is that I doubt I'll be buying anymore DVD's once I get my PS3, whereas I would have snapped up stuff like Spidey3, Transformers, etc on DVD. |

Ghost Rider should be really cool on Blu Ray, I've seen the trailers and there are a lot of stunts that will be impressive. On the other hand, Marvel doesn't have a good track record for movies, it seems they can't get good writers.

Problem is, the writers have to appeal to both clueless newbies and hardcore fans. Not an easy task, but Fantastic Four and X-Men have done pretty well so far.

THe problem with Warner titles now is, they will probably end up being released on their crappy dualdisc TotalHD format, which I refuse to purchase. ![]() |
