Default Backing Up Blu-ray Discs

Hello all!, How easy is it to back up Blu-Ray discs to a computer hard drive?

I have a decent sized DVD collection and am looking to start including Blu-Ray discs now that the format war is done. However, I don't want the hassle of having to swap discs, search for boxes, etc.

As such, I'm looking at using a Mvix MX-780HD hooked into a Denon AVR2308 receiver via HDMI to handle playback. The Mvix device will be configured serve files from a 5Tb (3.8Tb effective) NAS (network attached storage) unit. The NAS will store backups of all of my DVDs and the Mvix supports the creation of a virtual library.

I know that the Blu-Ray discs are much larger than a standard DVD, and I can deal with that when the time comes. I just need to make sure that I can copy the disc off to a hard drive and play it back.

Blu-ray disc's have many anti piracy features that make any copying very difficult. So until managed copy is sorted out the legal answer is no it can't be done. As this will lead to s discussion of how it could be done thread is locked.
There is a long standing policy of this site NOT to promote illegal activities of any kind.
