Hello, I have a Samsung BD-J5700 player (purchased September 2017) that has gone haywire just a few moments ago. If anybody can help me out, tell me what to do. Here are some details, ask if you need more:
It was working flawlessly until tonight, when it was turned on normally and broke down. Now, the player just keeps turning on and off by itself endlessly, even after unplugging and plugging back in. Hard reset by holding down eject button doesn't work, player irresponsive to all input from front panel buttons. What little time spends on main menu, it does responds to remote control input, including eject (however, disc tray immediately retracts back for next power cycle), but not power. Symptoms happens when no output is connected to the device. Last time it was on stable state, player was connected to brand-matching Samsung display (going to report display model later, if necessary), output set to 1080p24 with Anynet+ on and Quick Start off. Also used Ethernet for Internet connection. Had firmware version 1020.1 installed. Recently, the player is being currently used to watch Netflix with it, but last time it was used for Blu-ray playback a few nights ago it worked flawlessly. Player has had a history of working reliably (only has had trouble playing one disc in my library, Blu-ray) until tonight, please if anybody has experienced something similar or knows how to fix this issue please let me know and tell me what should I need to do. All contributions are highly appreciated. |
