Default The Office returns this week!!!

I am stoked that the strike is over and the best show on TV is back with new episodes. Who knows maybe Season 4 will see a Blu release now that Universal is on board.

So I wanted to see how many Office fans there are on these boards and maybe share your favorite episodes or moments while we wait for Thursday.

One of my favorite moments is when Michael Scotts outs Oscar's sexuality and has Dwight looking up gay porn on the computer. Others complain about what Dwight is doing and when Michael looks at the screen he is disgusted but says "That is beautiful, nothing wrong with that. Gay porn, straight porn, it's all gooood!"

PS....30 Rock is also a great show and recommend anyone who like The Office watch this show as well. It comes on right after The Office.

You're looking for fans of The Office? Well, count me in, for sure. I have the first 3 seasons on DVD and love every bit of them. I've been watching repeats of the Season 4 episodes on Hulu.com lately, as well, to keep me pumped up for the new episodes coming this week. I can't wait!

Love the office. The cast couldn't have been pieced together any better.

Quick side note does anyone ever notice that the ones that don't like or get the office always tend to love shows like According to Jim or Two and Half Men? Shows that are more of the formulaic situational comedies.

I always get frustrated when people say they "don't get The Office". Especially when most people have never watched more than 5 minutes much less an entire show.

Ironically, The Office is my favorite live-action comedy show on tv, closely followed by Two and a Half Men.

My favorite episode of The Office is probably when the sales team and the warehouse play basketball against eachother. The best is when Ryan is dribbling the ball and Dwight just comes and steals the ball and shoots it and Ryan says "Same team Dwight"

That is a great episode, it is great when Stanley starts dribbling with one arm way up in the air and Michael's says "WHAT!? SERIOUSLY!?"

I absolutely LOVE The Office!! Its a simply remarkable show!! I was first introduced to The Office when it was released in the UK (i live in Ireland) and it wasnt until it was released on DVD that i really got in to it. Its my favourite show of all time. it will NOT be beaten!! Ricky Gervais is a legend!!! There was only 2 series in the UK and then Christmas specials, but i felt that it was enough as if they continued the show if would have lost some of the quality that it holds. Although i wished there was more, it was the right thing to do to end it. It will be forever in British TV history.

When i heard that it was coming out in the US, i was quite sceptical as to what it would offer. Would it follow the same story as the UK version? etc etc.. Well, when I first saw the first episode of the US version, i was quite disappointed. I thought it was just a direct copy of the UK version and the jokes didnt come across half as funny.. BUT i continued to watch it and I have to say its BRILLIANT!!!!!!!! after the first episode the US version kinda went its own way, while keeping similar story lines (the merging of the two branches, Jim and Pam etc). I cannot get enough of it, its really fantastic! Laugh after laugh after laugh.. Michael (Carell) is ridiculously funny. He never fails in entertaining. Dwight is quite different to the UK character, Gareth. After seeing the first episode i thought that Dwight's character didnt work at all, but i proven wrong, its perfectly cast. Steve Carell is wonderful, they all are. Thanks to the power of the internet i can see the episodes when released in the US so roll on the new episodes this week!!

Has anyone else seen both versions, and if so, what are your views on the two? Which do you think is better?

Any chance of a Blu ray release????

Also, can we start a group for "The Office"?? For Blu ray fans??? and perhaps put some pressure on the powers that be in an attempt to get the Blu release????

Just quoting the show is funny and can get you going. I love people just throwing these things out their. I can't think of a show (in history) that was more clever than The Office.

I agree! Michael - "Guess what? I have flaws. What are they? Oh I dunno, I sing in the shower? Sometimes I spend too much time volunteering. Occasionally I'll hit somebody with my car. So sue me-- no, don't sue me. That is opposite the point I'm trying to make.."

Here's a sneak peak of Thursdays episode!

Thumbs up

I am so glad this show is finally returning! It's hard to choose a favorite episode as I enjoy them all. One of my favorite bits though is when Pam and Jim tricked Dwight into thinking that he was being hired by the CIA

My favorite prank thus far has to be the Dwight from the future faxes.

"Do NOT drink the coffee!"
