did you burn it on a CD? Did you follow the disc creation instructions exactly?

I don't know about the Pioneers, but the Sonys require that you burn your image on a DVD. Try burning your image to dvd.

How are you burning it to CD? Are you just making a copy, or doing an ISO image burn? I know with the Sonys, it requires an ISO image. What burning software are you using? It may have the ability to do an ISO image.

Burning my Sony updates usually takes a couple of tries.

Make sure you burn image.

Just keep trying.

I gave up on ordering the free disc from Sony...NONE of them worked.

I have performed all of the firmware upgrades to my BDP-94HD without any failures. I cannot imagine why you are having problems if you are following the instructions on the Pioneer website.

Default Try Try Again...

As sure as you are that you followed all the steps, Stop, take a step back and start over..
Download a new file, open it to a new folder...
Check your burning software to be sure your burning an Image file..
(This is not the same as burning the file you opened to a blank cd)
CDr's are reccomended over CDrw's

I sell these players and I have up dated firmware with out issue on all the machines in my showroom, Sony, Samsung, Pioneer

Hope this helps Best of Luck
Mike

It may need to be burned with the joilet option. See if your software does this. If not, Windows does it natively.

* RIght click the .iso file and sent it to the CD drive
* A pop up occurs asking if you want the file burned to cd.
* Click on the pop up and follow directions to burn.

That is very rough instructions, but should get you started.

I use Nero 8 Ultra Edition.
http://www.nero.com/enu/index.html
It allows me to burn Image files and as stated above it has worked with every machine I have been tasked to update.
It also has lots of DVD burning functions.
