Default Best Audio- HD-DVD or Blu-Ray?

Hey,

I'm a guitarist & later down the line (when i don't suck as much!), i plan on recording my playing on High Def.

No i've been advise Blu-Ray KILLS HD-DVD in not only Video format, but Audio too.

Firstly, is this correct? The guy who told me knows his stuff so i aint disputing it as rather- getting a joint 2nd opinion from those who also know as much/or more about it.

I'm not sure what the top Audio would be on a visual disc, but anything like the SA-CD quality would be great if possible.

I aintdone a poll, cos in my mind i think Blu-Ray is probably the best audio, i'm just double-checking.

Thanks

- Steve.

Yes that appears to be the consensus.

Both formats, on the surface, are capable of the equivalent audio . But, BD is actually delivering HD audio on nearly every release. And BD has the bandwidth to do this no matter what the features.

Someone point out a 1.85 + PiP + lossless HD DVD. Can't be done right now. Even at only 16-bit.
