I have the Logitech Driving Force Pro Wheel that came out when GT4 arrived. Works great on the PS2, can't get it to work on the PS3.
I've looked at the threads on the Playstation and Logitech sites. The only thing I've been able to come up with is a faulty power supply. I've tried buying another 24v power supply and still no dice. When I plug in the USB to the PS3, one light is steady green, the other flashes. No response whatsoever on the PS3. I do notice that if I'm in a game (GT5 in this case), the six-axis controller will work except for steering. When I unplug the wheel USB, my steering returns to the six-axis. Any ideas? My avitar describes my frustration perfectly (primal scream). ![]() |

As soon as GT5p is started, my wheel does the auto-calibration and both lights become solid green (with the AC adapter plugged in). |

Nope. No other USB items connected. The calibration is what I expect to happen when I plug it in, but it just sits there...TAUNTING ME!

Have you tried plugging in your DFP then powering on the console without using the controllers (directly from the console)?
I had a similar problem when I started using the wheel... but I think in my stupidity it was because the A/C adapter wasn't plugged in. You could always try to contact logitech tech support? |

Have you tried other games?
Dirt Demo and F1 Championship Edition? Even COD4 (you can move sideways, left and right with the wheel lol fire with the paddle shifters) Do the buttons work at all? |

Yes, it is.
I have tried it with F1, GT5 and NFS Pro Street. Nothing works. I've tried another power supply, same result. |

I think it's dead the wheel itself, not just the power supply.
Just think of it as now having an excuse to buy a g25 ![]() |

I seem to be having a similar problem but I'm hoping it's just some setup-type step that I'm missing. When I plugged my DFP into the PS3, it went through it's auto-calibration but after that, one green light continually blinks and the other is off. Is there some program that needs to be installed for the PS3? Since I've only used it with the PC, this is the first time I've tried to use it with the PS3.
Actually, I'll also try making sure the DFP is plugged in and on when turning on the PS3 (like was suggested earlier) to see if that helps. |

Brilliant, just brilliant. I guess I should be amazed that I can walk and talk at the same time. I plugged the DFP into a socket that is controlled by a light-switch and since I have the lights off, there wasn't any power. As soon as I turned the lights on so I could make sure I had all the connections nice and tight, etc. the DFP came to life and both lights are green. I'm surprised that it went through the range of motion cal at the beginning without power though. Anyway, my issue was user error and I can't believe I did that. Geez.
Edit: Works fine here now. ![]() Last edited by owa; 05-01-2008 at 11:31 PM. |

I have a driving force pro also and it works perfectly. I plugged it in used the menu buttons on the wheel to navigate to GT5p and it calibrates and both lights come on. That's all there was to it. Sounds like you have a faulty wheel, power supply or try a different plug in.
