I noticed this as well. On another note, I think the Rock Band prices have been at parity since the store refresh. At least I think they are.

HELLS NO! I've purchased ALL Rock Band content and they have still been $1 more per individual song and $3 more per song pack.

That's one reason that I actually have mixed emotions about the scenario. I've easily spent over $100 more than I should have because of their delayed adjustment to the currency parity. Hell, when Wal-mart shifted their pricing paradigm, that was a surefire sign that the consumer economy was stable enough to bank on a prolonged currency stability.

Well you never know, a bank once told my mom that the reason they hold onto her direct deposit was because they did not consider the company she worked for "stable" she worked for the school district that is a multi million dollar organization, easily purchasing million dollar buildings without breaking a sweat.

Sure not stable

@ Petra Kalbrain

LOL! Well, I suppose there goes your plan to be more "picky" with rock band DLC.

Anyhow, it's about damn time this happened. I mean, it's only been what? Almost a year since the loonie started to approach parity with the US greenback?

DOUBLE DAMN IT!!! I didn't even think about it that way... *sighs*

By the way... you are mistakenly calling the U.S. dollar a "greenback". A common misconception. The U.S. greenback was the only existing monetary currency that was created by the government and maintained by the government. Current methods of currency circulation are not "greenbacks" in the sense that the private banks control the monetary circulation. To call modern U.S. currency "greenbacks" is actually an insult to the way North America can be saved from... well... I can't go any further without fear of being banned. Google it you want to find out more.

There was a difference in prices on content. 'Rock Band' content has sold at $2.99/song or $6.49/3 pack in Canada, $1.99/song or $5.49/3 pack in U.S. The 'Boston Pack' & 'Grateful Dead Pack' each cost $10.99 in Canada and $9.99 in U.S. The 'Judas Priest Pack' cost $15.99 in Canada and $14.99 in U.S.

Sure, $1 here and there doesn't seem too bad to most people. But, for those of us that love our Rock Band enough to want a full up to date library at hand, it all adds up. Now, having DOUBLE the number of songs as is available on the disc at time of purchase, those $1 differences add up to a corporation RIPPING OFF its loyal customers.

It's the exact same way with electronics in Canada. The companies see an opportunity to pocket some extra coin because of past "economic trends" and take full advantage of it at the LITERAL expense of consumers.

In the case of DOWNLOADABLE CONTENT THOUGH?!?!?! GIVE ME A BREAK! There is no extra shipping, labour, or any other extra B&M related fees to deal with except for a bit of electricity to keep the servers up and running. It is pure cockamaymie!!! In my particular case... EA should be ashamed of themselves (not like they shouldn't have been on many topics/issues about their business practices before).

And, that's the end of my ranting on this subject. It's time to go kill some virtual people to vent the emotions that have been surfaced by this discussion. METAL GEAR SOLID ONLINE!!!

Yay, about time. I didn't know the prices we had were higher, but i did always think it was a bit pricey. So now, maybe I'll finally start buying some things. Hopefully, this is foreshadowing for our Cell Phone Bills....

And nobody thought to mention the gouging on GH3 prices until now?

Anyways, it's about time. Glad I already bought my CoD4 map pack for the jacked up price Thankfully, that's ALL I've bought...
