I'll watch anything as long as it looks good and appeals to my personal tastes. That said, I do swing more towards the cinema of the fantastic, which generally involves Sci-Fi/Fantasy and Horror.

Love all movies but the ones I REALLY REALLY love are the easy, no brainer, movies that you put on and can just enjoy.

I'll watch anything, but I seem to like sci-fi the best. What can I say, I'm a geek.

Hmmm, ok no offense here but why is Romance considered a "chic" flick? Yeah its nice and cute to call it that when you are young but let me tell you some of the best films feature romances! By the same token I could call the LOTR films NERD flicks. Or guys that don't get laid flicks.....see my point.

Back to the point though I picked "chic" flick just for the sake of it. But I really like all genre of film as long as the film is good.

When you go to the theater to see the typical Julia Roberts/Sandra Bullock romantic comedy, the majority of the people who see it are women and their whipped husbands/boyfriends. I know because I used to be one of those guys.

Films like LOTR appeal to the masses, which is why you see men and women of all ages, not just nerds. If only "nerds" liked LOTR, there's no way they would have made the money they did.

And by the way, people do call films like LOTR/Star Wars/Star Trek nerd films.

Yeah thats why people make fun of them all the time......

so your saying that all "guys" do not like romance films?

I guess Casablanca is a "chick" flick?
