It looks interesting to me, is this supposed to be a comedy? He's famous for "La Familia PeLuche" so that's why I ask. Has anyone seen it?

Yes, I saw it theatrically.

It's a heart-tugging comedy with a lot of broad physical humor. It was OK, but I expected more knowing how well it did.

I saw it, laughed throughout the whole. movie since i knew about alot of refrences that were displayed on screen. As well as Ive been a fan of derbez since i was five. Its a very funny/drama that hits the right notes. For 16.99 at release day at Target & best buy on bluray, its a good de for those interested

Getting this for my mom, she absolutely loved this movie in the cinemas. I might get it as well for myself too.

Saw this the other day and thought it was horrible. There was a lot of bad acting from supporting characters. And that ending was just plain dramatic. Felt like watching a Mexican soap opera for about 2 hours.

Funny how the reviewer gave it 2.5 stars and then "Recommended" it

With the caveats expressed in this review duly noted, and for those who don't mind a somewhat uneasy mix of slapstick and melodrama, Instructions Not Included comes Recommended.

Saw the bluray today and i enjoyed the movie just like i did in the theaters. Does it have some flaws? Yeah. Does it have a shift in tone? Depends if that bothers you. The movie markets itself as a family comedy when in reality is a Dramedy. When its funny, its funny and when its serious well its believable. The acting is pretty good, but i feel you really need to know some of the refrences the jokes are aiming at. Thats why i feel that the movie will lose some pacing. Either than that the movie ientertain you fron start to finish and i was never bored. Rent it first as it is spanish for most of the movie

Watched it a while ago. Glad I rented it. Although there were a couple of funny moments, I felt as if there were too many "funny" scenes that dragged out. It completely took me out of the movie. It's as if they were trying too hard. Horrible acting from the supporting cast. Some of the dubbing was poorly done as well. I caught of few moments where dialogue was present but with their mouths closed. And the ending was too dramatic. They were laying it on real thick to the point of ridiculousness. Just didn't do it for me.

This started off really good but the last act got really bad. Worth a watch but definitely not a purchase.
I do think the star/director is very talented and will be on the lookout for what he does next.

Which Target do you go to? I was at the Tyler one on Friday and they were all sold out. I luckily found one on eBay, he has two morecopies available for $15. They are local so you should get it quick if you want to jump on it.

Believe it or not, I went to the Tyler one also (and the BB there too) but no luck that day. Thanks for the link!
