Default Sony KDL32XBR6

Anyone seen the new Sony LCD's on SonyStyle.com yet? The new KDL32XBR6 looks sweet. I wonder if the 46 and 52 inch versions will look just as good. I wished I had held off getting my Samsung now I wanted Sony but I just didn't like the cabinet on the XBR 4 and 5, the glass around the TV was just not my thing.... Here is the link for the KDL32XBR6:

The 32" XBR didn't have the glass around it like the 40, 46 and 52 did. I do agree that the new model looks sick. I sell TVs at a store in Portland, OR and my Sony rep said the new 40, 46 and 52 will have a simmilar look to this years (ie still has the glass border), with some subtle differences.

That sucks I would have thought they would change the border.... Oh well I'll wait to upgrade when they do. Hope the speakers are side mounted when they do decide to change. Bottom mount don't sound as good...

No glass panel around?

I love that design feature more so than any other and it is ONE of the reason why I got my XBR

I just don't like it. I know to each his own. I just don't like how the screws are in the back and just doen't like that glass. But some folks thinks it's pretty slick. I love the new 32 XBR6 design. I'd like to see that on the larger models. Hopefully the speakers will be on the sides and not the bottom. I just don't have room for a home theater system at this point in time...

True.

I am more curious about the price. If a 32 XBR6 will go upwards of $2K or close to 3K... forget it.. i mean... you just dont spend $3K for a 32" LCD TV, no matter how good they really are.

If a 50" XBR6 is in the upwards of $4000 or toward $5000 mark... man.. I will love my 52 XBR4 even more.

The 32" XBR6 is listed at $1,199 on the Sonystyle website. 37" one is $1,499. Not too bad for XBR sets IMO.

I saw the 32 XBR6 at J&R in NYC this weekend. All I can say is WOW. Didnt have time to mess with any of the settings, but this TV blows away the 32 XBR4 as far as black level, sharpness and off angle viewing.

REALLY?

Time for my upgrade in my bed room!!!!

just checked out on sonystyle.

I think my fiancee will kill me if I go out and buy the 32 XBR6

I'd prefer a 37"... but $1500 is a bit too much for my blood for a 3rd set of spare TV..

Quality wise, it is the best 32 inch you can buy. I work at a retailer and put it up yesterday. I noticed a big improvement in the ability to reproduce very accurate reds, a problem that Sony and Samsung seem to have.
