Sony SPHE easter egg picture calibration

I have several Sony Pictures blu-ray discs and in one of those (A passage to India) says that by pressing 7669 on the remote control I have access to that calibration material. I own the Sony BDP-S300 with the new firmware and when I do the 7669 thing on the remote nothing happens.
Is it for newer models only or some SONY titles have that easter egg only? Which title has that easter egg,, what model display that?

It's on all of Sony's Blu-rays. You have to enter it on the main menu of the disc.

All my Sony/Tristar movies have this "easter egg" in them. I have an 80 gb PS3 and upon pressing the 7669 it calibrates my screen. just enter it when the main menu is up. see if that helps.

It doesn't calibrate your screen. It's just test patterns so you can calibrate it accurately.

It's not really an easter egg since the insert in Sony's movies advertise it and tell you how to do it...

Is it possible to do this with the PS3 controller, I'm too cheap to buy the remote.

Yes you can use the controller too. Press the green triangle when on the main menu of the disc to get the icons and then click on the number icons (you have to do the numbers kind of fast)

thank you all!! I've found it. I think only dislays on 720p or maybe works with all formats but I tried on my bravia projector at 1080/24p and nothing came up. That's why I was confused. I found it at 720p on my projector.

I sent back the Playstation 3 last year because the blu ray bluetooth remote didn't work. I tried 3 machines ans several remotes. The machine was updated online and nada! After several trips to the store, paking- unpcking I gave up. It was a cheapest way to get blu-ray and more on that wonderful machine. I never play games in any way (P3 or with retail stores) lol

I got it from Casino Royale. Only some Sony titles have it (the earlier ones). I think it's on Big Fish too.

That's strange the patterns are in 1080p24.

I think all Sony discs have it (At least it's always there when I need it and I have a Sony disc lying around.) The earliest titles had an extra pattern or two if I recall correctly
