why can't you buy it from oz would the currency change be to much or would you get drilled with the shipping?

I bought mine for £22 ($40 USD) shipped and it took 2 weeks to arrive. My copy is local and cheaper and I can get it to you in 2 days max.

Correct... the only to my knowledge place it is available on a region B is Australia. I got my copy on eBay. Australian BDs do not always show up on www.ebay.co.uk etc... So look directly on www.ebay.com.au, your eBay sign-in works worldwide.

EzyDVD in Australia has it in their B2G1 sale. Some good buys there, and some good Region B exclusives . Like The Hills Have Eyes for starters

Does anyone know what edits (if any) are in this Australian version? I know the DVD in the UK was edited to buggery (I've never got around to getting it on DVD because of that).

There is no information on that at the moment. I usually check it at michaeldvd.com.au.

^ It says Region 1, but we all know how unreliable that piece of information is since there is not Region 1 for Blu-ray. According to this great site it has been released in Region A and it then linked it to that Amazon link ^

Or you could try http://oztion.com.au./ as quite a few sellers are leaving ebay and have headed on that site because ebay are forcing sellers from June this year into using paypal which is basically double dipping on fees. The Australian disc has NO censorship to it. Feel safe in that knowledge.

Well, no more than any other video release that is. All video releases are cut from the theatrical version (the chain whipping fight). I dunno why this is, but they all are cut like this.

Great film though. It was fantastic seeing it on Blu Ray after the crappy DVD releases.
