Default Monitor Audio RS6 and Onkyo X-over ?

Picked up my new fronts and center channel yesterday, Monitor RS6 and the matching center.. so happy!

Upgraded from using Klipsch RSX-4 bookshelf speakers lol, wow what a difference.

Just had a question about setting my Onkyo 805 crossover for them:

The RS6 are rated: 38 Hz - 30 KHz
The Center is rated: 45 Hz – 30 KHz

So would the proper crossover setting on the receiver be:

40Hz for the fronts
50Hz for the center

Thanks!

well, as an example THX uses the crossover at 80Hz.

I think your fronts would be fine at 40Hz, maybe even 50Hz.

But you might not want that kind of bass coming from the center channel?

OK I think I get it now, so the lower the crossover the more bass you get?

If this is true would I be able to set my fronts at full and get rid of my sub for now? I'm still using my Klipsch sub and it really sounds off.

The RS6 have a unique sound to them, they deliver a note and kind of quickly move on where as the sub will still be in the process of delivering.

That make sense?

Sorry totally nubish at this, this is my first real set up.
