Default Curious About Imports - Blu Titles Not Available in the US
So I was just thinking to myself after watching The Island import last night (great Blu disc BTW), how is it that certain movies are allowed to be released in Blu overseas, but aren't available here in the US? What constitutes that? What international law/agreement governs what can be released on HDM overseas, but not the United States? Who makes these decisions? If it's released over there, what's the hold up on releasing certain titles here? Inquiring minds want to know. I'm totally ignorant about such matters.
