PS3 Laptop Mod - Blu-ray Forum

Don't know if this has been posted already, but I just read about it in PlayStation: The Official Magazine.

A guy by the name of Benjamin Heckendorn modified a 60GB PS3 into a laptop. You can read more about him at www.benheck.com.

It is a fully functioning 60GB PS3 with a 17" 720p screen and built in keyboard and speakers. It does not operate like a computer, it just looks like one. But I am sure you could install Linux if you wanted as the PS3 lets you do so.

I've seen this before and i'm still amazed at it.
It's amazing what people can do !

Plus, I really like the fact that the $9000 went to charity and he didn't take all the money to himself. Kudos to him.

Seems nice in concept and a good way to have a mobile PS3 and blu player. Although you have to plug it in to work still. And it is nice the money went to charity. If you up to the guys web page, you will see he has made controllers for disabled gamers also, including a one handed guitar with foot pedles for Guitar Hero.
