Question onkyo 605 vs 606 vs yammy v663

which should i pick up?

-i hear the 605 has overheating issues which leaves me a little reluctant to buy considering i live in canada and will be bringing it over the border (so a warranty may not be honored)

-i know the 606 is basically the 605 with more HDMI in's - but does it overheat as well?

-would anyone pick the yammy over the onkyos? if so, why?

its a long weekend here in canada and i want to down monday and check em out

thanks

From what I hear, the 606 is much cooler running than the 605... I'll let u know later, mine is coming in the mail from CC next week. I'm pumped.

any other significant difference between the onkyo and yammy that would justify buying the yammy?

Im on the same boat as you, also looking at the Sony 820, which looks like a winner so far, waiting for reviews. And is $100 cheaper.

I have read the Yammi has dual room control, and also support for two subs

I went with the V663 after month's of debating and I don't regret my decision one bit.Ton's of features, decodes all of the latest audio and most of all it stays cool.

I'm in the same boat as well...boat's getting crowded. I'm leaning toward the Yammy right now, with the Sony 2nd. I may have to settle for the Sony though as my TV stand may not fit the Yammy...need to double-check the clearance. The only good news about that is the great price on the Sony that a member posted here at CDW. I will be making my final decision and purchase by month end.
