Need a new audio for my bedroom.. - Blu-ray Forum

Hey guys, it's strange but I need audio system for my bedroom. I'm still with my parents, untill I finish school and I just went and spent some $$$. I got PS3 40GB and a 46" Panasonic http://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-me...e=UTF8&index=0

I'm new to audio, I see 5.1 , 7.1 , dolby, it's all unknown to me so I don't even know what to look at. I know I don't wanna spend massive money, It's only a bedroom, but I want to get a good sound. Would $500 budget buy me something nice ? or do I need to step up with the price to get something decent these days ?

...if you can swing it I think this would be your best option. Its good speakers and a great receiver you would not have to upgrade for a long time.
