Default What do you think will come after 7.1?
Personally I never thought they'd go beyond 5.1. Soon after came 6.1 and now 7.1.
Frankly I'm voting for stereo subwoofer channels and 2 channels above for any sound coming from - well - above . Like when a character is in a forest I'd hear all the small sounds coming from the trees and such.
