The Haunting (Remake)

Happy 2009 All! One of my favorite "horror?" movies were the original Haunting, and it's '90s remake. Sure, the original was far superior, but man, Catherine Z-Jones was pure eye candy to gaze upon in the latter My question is..have any of you seen any news item regarding a BD release for either? I played the newer SD recently, and it looked pretty damned nice upconverted, can only imagine a true 1080P picture. Have a good one all, please comment.....

I hear the remake makes for one great bass tester. People seem to dislike the movie though. I'm a fan of horror but have yet to see it

o man, i remember seeing this in the theater 2nd weekend it was released with my 2 friends. no joke we were the ONLY people in the theater and laughed the entire time. had a pretty decent cast (although i dont think owen OR luke wilson should ever be in a horror movie) so i thought it might be ok, but i was heavily disappointed. just me though, some people might like it and that's cool

It wasn't the best by any means, but as a horror vet, it was far from worst. If you haven't seen it, I'd suggest at least rent it (on BD soon!?), but if nothing else read the book by Shirley Jackson. If you do, you'll appreciate the original movie for what it was meant for, scary innuendos rather than shock value.

This is one superb movie, I got to see it in High def via Sky movies, It looked quite brilliant, I am very much looking forward to it's release on blu ray.

I'm keep my fingers crossed for a truly superb 1080p transfer and DTS Master Audio in 7.1 to rival the magnificent DTS-ES 6.1 mix on the dvd which i still own.

Yes! This movie had one of the best DTS-ES soundtracks, that I've ever heard on DVD. It's extremely powerful, and boisterous.
