Please Help W/ Blue Tooth Issues - Blu-ray Forum

So my wireless controllers won't register to my ps3 now. At first my headset would go out every once in a while, but now NOTHING will connect through blue tooth. My controllers are charged and still nothing. Every time i hit the PS button the lights flash really fast and then go blank. This is getting really frustrating. I reseted the controllers many times and still nothing. I tried searching around for issues but only found a couple and nobody really addressed them. Does anyone know of any blue tooth problems? I really don't want to call Sony, I hear it will take many weeks before this even gets dealt with through them.

I just hope i'm not alone on this problem.

bad recommendation.

call sony. I have quite a few positive experience dealing with them with my other sony products. I have no problems with PS3 so far.

I havent really had any bluetooth problems. I have only had my controllers act up or shut off maybe twice since the PS3 launched back in Nov 06.

I would suggest calling Sony. Hopefully you are still in your warrenty period if you need to send it in. If you are out of warrenty and you have to send it in, it is $150

i think i figured it out

at first i had to restore my system cause i thought something was corrupted, but that wasn't it.

Then I turned off the power switch in the back, waited 5 seconds, and turned it back on. Once i started up the ps3...tada!...the controllers worked again. I hope this isn't going to be a recurring problem. I think this started when my friend gave me his madcatz bluetooth headset. Ever since I got it i had disconnect problems. I hope sony addresses this problem, because after a bit of research i found out that only few people have this problem. I know this could easily be fixed with an update. I read there was one for it, but obviously there are still some bugs to work out.

thanks for your input guys, I will be giving sony a call anyway.

do the quick reformat worked when my bluetooth remote stopped working
