Instead of a few stupid filthy rich studios (I won't name any names) wanting us to double dip for a slight update of a BD which was released only a few months earlier, if we kept our receipts, we should be able to upgrade our BDs. It's fair. Double dipping is not fair. Anyone else agree?

I agree; it's called sell your old one and buy the new one. Honestly, if it's only a slight upgrade then maybe we deserve to get ripped off. Certain movies will be worth it to certain people, otherwise not buying it is the best message you can send the fatcats in hollywood.

problem is receipts are only good for like 30 days and thats if its unopened otherwise your SOL and just have to trade it in somewhere that will take Blu-ray movies and then just upgrade it if its a worthwhile upgrade

yeah its an option by the consumer (us) not a requirement.

Maybe its like buying a new car. There are always going to be new and better models out next year.
