Does anyone here actually happen to write books for a living? I myself am writing a novel. Probably will never see a bookstores shelf but hey... it gives me something to do.

I've been playing with an idea for a series of books in my head, but I don't know how to get started.

I've been writing for a while...not published or anything like that...told my wife if I don't at least finish a book and get it to a publish-able stage by the time I'm 40 (2 more years to go) I'll give it up...

No time...just no time :-)

i had a complete novel written a few years ago, but that got lost in a computer crash

, so with my notes i'm turning it into a theme album. still bitter about losing the damn thing. so now everything i write i back everything up twice.

I had all the notes, the brainstorming and everything saved on my laptop and that things hard drive went belly up. I was pissed.

I have a journalism degree that I don't use. I have an idea for a book though . . . just gotta get the time and inclination to start it

My wife has written 3 books and has 3 more in the works through Sterling/Lark which is part of Barns & Noble publishing.

She also writes for 3 national/international magazines, host two shows on the DIY/HGTV networks and her and I produce a podcast and other projects.
