Top Gun has release date - 29.07.08 - Blu-ray Forum

Sorry if this has been posted - I did do a search and came up with nothing.

According to amazon.com

Top Gun will be released on July 29. I know amazon uses placeholders, but I haven't seen placeholders have release date attached to them.

My apologies if I'm off base.

It sounded pretty good back in the day on my first surround setup with a vhs. Can just imagine how sweet this is going to sound, The jets are the real stars of this movie.

Hopefully this is correct, but I'm not real certain just yet. When I looked at this on Amazon it clearly says Top Gun (Blu-ray), but it also says there is a deal available on it. The deal they have listed is to combine it with a Toshiba A3 HD DVD player. Sounds like there is some confusion on Amazon's part.

Hope this is true. I sold my dvd when Paramount annouced this before and then they switched to hd-dvd

Very Cool...this movie didn't really grow with me, but it's still classic and what it lacks in ploot appeal now-a-days it more then makes up for in EAR CANDY.
