Purchasing another PS3

I was really interested in the new MGS bundle. The only problem is that I have a few things that have been purchased and downloaded on my 60 Gig. Things such as the COD Map pack, game updates, and a few games from the PSN.........also some pics and music ....

MY question is how do I get the information on my new PS3..... Im sure its possible, but Im not the sharpest tool in the shed.

I dont want to swap the hard drives, because one is gray and the other is black.

Simply back up your saved games/music/photos/movies on a usb memory stick.

as for the COD maps you can go to the ps3 store and you can re-download them for free as long as you have the same account that you bought them with....

Simple enough.

Will the old data still be there for the ps3 that Im selling to my friend ?

Yes it will, but if he simply doesn't need it, or doesn't want it he can format the hard drive under the ps3 options and everything will be deleted...

Remember that your 60gb PS3 is the original deal with the emotion engine. The 80gb is backward compatible to play PS2 games but does it through software vice hardware. From a technical standpoint your 60gb PS3 is a better machine. If you are not worried about the backwards compatablilty and playing PS2 games then I would sell it.

Why would the color make any difference? The PS3 hard drive is internal.
