the TV probably doesnt have motion enhancer or anything of the sort and therefore has a problem with resolving motion, you get blur as well as pixelattion and artifacting... if it bothers you that much and you can return the TV, return it for one with motion enhancement or 120Hz from sony, or samsung or toshiba

Start by turning down your sharpness, then calibrate your TV.

What are you selling T.V.s?

The picture should still look good even without the 120hz. There is most likely something else going on.

There are sharpness, contrast, brightness, etc. settings somewhere. I guarantee it.

Yes, yes I am. And to me this sounds an awful lot like low response time pixels and motion artifacting.

Do what I said and start by turning down the sharpness. It will be night and day, it is probably on vivid.

Yes there are those but I use those to adjust the picture but that doesnt change the blu ray playback any.

*Cough**Cough* You must have the eyes of a hawk, 60hz looks very good. Trust, one of the best on the market is the 60hz LED Samsung LCD.

I didn't say that its necessarily an issue with 60Hz.... I've seen 60Hz TVs that blow 120Hz sets out of the water.... I said pixel response time.... 60Hz TVs can have anywhere from 4ms to (from what I've seen) 14ms response time.

How does it not? It should effect the picture quality of either that input or every input.

This sounds very strange. But first of all, when someone says 'calibration' they mean to pay ~$250 usd to have some dude come out, access the TV's super secret service menu and proceed to work some bizarre witchcraft on the teevee to make it look better...I don't find it necessary, personally.

It's funny that you mention Pirates, especially...since those are some of the best looking Blu Ray releases out there. I have a 32" Panasonic lcd and I have never had those problems.

And from what I understand, 120hz Automotion makes the baby Jesus cry.
