Default 50 inch Sanyo Dp series 720 600hz anyone have/use one?

The wife is wanting to get get rid of the 7 year old Mitshubishi 65 inch projection tv. We ran across the Sanyo 50 inch 720 600hz for 648.00 at walmart. I know its not a great tv, BUT its a step up from what we have been useing. Im not worried about the blacks being perfect. It will more than likely be watching Blue Clues and The office and what ever else is watched during a normal day, i will have my own space set up with my set up and higher end equip. this will be just for the normal family viewing tv shows and cable hd channels. has anyone used one of these sets? The reviews i read were good. but i want someone who knows about tv's opinion not a 35 year old male that doesnt know much about tv's and thinks its the best thing since sliced bread cause its a new shiny tv. Give me some honest opinions.

If you can wait until Black Friday, 720p sets are predicted to hit awesome low prices. I am a sucker for 1080p personally; but if you have truly identified an area where you don't think its necessary and you can wait for BF then I would wait and pick a more well known plasma brand at a similar price (if not cheaper) to the one you quoted.

But that is just my opinion, I am sure some of the plasma owners and those with more technological insight will chime in shortly.
