Amazon has now placed a placeholder for Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Blu-Ray. It may not be up for reserve and they dont know when it will come out but its something better then nothing

They don't know when it's going to be released or if it's going to be released. They are just using those pages to tie customers to their site.

This means nothing, is just speculations, I have seen items on amazon like this that never see a release.

Given that this is a Sony title you can bet that it is coming. I'll be first in line when this one comes out on Blu-ray.

this definitely needs a bluray release. i disagree about the dvd looking good. even in my oppo upconvert, it's stretched too far and you can see blockiness in the image on an hdtv.

This should have been out on Blu already. Before the PS3 launched they said a Special Edition of Advent Children was headed to Blu-ray. I wonder what they are waiting for. Maybe they are waiting for the media blitz of FFXIII to release the film as it would help generate some extra cheap/free publicity.
