Any info on "Live Free or Die Hard-Unrated"on Blu yet - Blu-ray Forum

Just curious to know if anyone has heard anyhting about plans for a release of the unrated cut of Live Free or Die Hard on Blu-ray yet, i've had the rated version on my shelf for a long time and it's the only Blu-ray I dont like seeing on my shelf. I sure would love the unrated cut on Blu-ray FOX.

Yeah, I'm with you on that one. I'd like to see an unrated version of Live Free or Die Hard on Blu-ray, with all the language and profanity that we've come to love from Bruce Willis' John McClane!

You can make your own here is how at key points in the movie just say the F word a few times and you will have your very own unrated BD

I agree with FEB there won't be much of a difference between the threatical and the unrated version. An unrated version wont happen for a while.

For those of you that have the Blu Ray how would you rate it compared to the unrated? I have the unrated DVD and while not better than 1, 2 or 3 I really enjoyed it. So I am trying to figure out if I should just wait for the unrated or just buy the PG-13 version already on Blu Ray.

i personally thought it was better than Die Hard 2.

If you are a fan of the series, jus buy the pg-13 bd now and wait for the unrated cut later. Thats what I did.

Also, circuit city is running an ad for LFODH next week. It might be a good time to swoop it up

Well if you can get the BD really, really cheap then go for it. The Unrated is my prefered version of the movie,(there are differences apart from added swearing and blood, anyone denying it has either not seen it or has the attention span of a goldfish

), but the BD looks and sounds excellent. Was too good to pass up.

Seriously, the Unrated edition was a joke. Digitally added blood and poorly-synched swearing that added really nothing to the film.

What? I found the unrated DVD excellent and didn't notice any synch issues.

I always heard the neutered version had synch issues, most notably in the "Yippie Ki Yay" phrase.
