I heard that the original was a flop, which was sad because it was critically acclaimed. I never played the original but I might give this a try.

best looking swine I ever seen... I will have to get the first one and finally beat it on PS... I gave up on the PC version.

I bought and beat the first waaay back on my Gamecube....wonderful game. Can't wait for the sequel!

This is great news! I'm glad to see Beyond Good and Evil is getting a much deserved sequel. It was an incredible game, and if you haven't played it, it's well worth finding. The game was developed by Michel Ancel, creator of the Rayman series. He also went on to develop King Kong for Peter Jackson, which was short but really good for a licensed game.

Unfortunately, while Beyond Good and Evil was a critically acclaimed game, Ubisoft made the fatal error of releasing it during the holiday season at the same time they released Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. Ubisoft didn't effectively focus its marketing efforts during that crowded holiday season, and BGAE paid the price. I bought Beyond Good and Evil brand new for $9.99 out of a clearance bin one month after its release. It was a bit sad.

Michel Ansel has been working with the team on a sequel for a while now, so it's good to see Ubisoft give it another chance. It deserves it. If you can find the original, try it out before the sequel hits.

I beat the first 100%

Combat against regular foes could have had more depth, I remember beyond a certain point being able to carry too many health restoring items or something and some of the dungeons were too short or uninteresting but for the most part I loved the world and its characters.

I think Sony should consider of puting Beyond Good And Evil up for download for those who don't own it, if the PS2 dowload thing turns out to be true. The PS2 upscaling does need A fix or delete the PS1/ PS2 upscaling thing...make it so that the PS1/PS2 games are rendering at 1080p.

It's about an photographer named Jade and her Uncle Pey'j who uncover the truth of there armed forces- The DomZ and conection with the Alpha sections from saving the city of Hillys.
