Master and Commander - Blu-ray Forum

I sent a copy of this back to Amazon because there was a loud pop when Aubrey is setting on the steps talking to the doctor just after the first battle. I received the new copy from Amazon and there is the same loud pop in exactly the same place. Does anyone else have this loud pop on their BD copy of Master and Commander?

You will need to update the firmware on your Pre/Receiver. This is common with many DTS-MA titles. You can read all about it on AVSForum until you are blu in the face.

BTW, what is the make/model of your Pre/Receiver? I have the Integra DTC-9.8 fully updated and did not experience the DTS bomb.

Finally, I sent back my copy because while the audio is a 5, the picture is a 2 (IMO). I may pick it up again when it is onsale for $15 just because of the AQ awesomeness. Overall, I was very disappointed in this release.

I have a yamaha 3800 AV receiver. I don't think I have a pre-receiver

I have updated the firmware on my yamaha RX-V3800 and the Audio bomb is gone. Thanks for the help
