Default Crappy JVC 5.1 is all I got, but I want to make the most of it!

Well I haven't been able to upgrade my surround sound like I did with my t.v.
But I still want to maximize my sound experience with what I have. So if you guys could help me out with a couple of questions I would appreciate it.

1. What is my crossover suppose to be set-up for my sub-woofer?? (how many hrtz?)

2. What should my LFE Attenuate be set at in decibals??

3. I need to set the distance of my speakers on my receiver. Is this just the actual distance from the speakers to my ears?? lol sorry if that's a stupid question.

4. And last, should I have my speaker sizes set on high or low!

Thanks alot guys. By the way as I said before I have a JVC 5.1 surround sound system. I think it's like 650 watts, hooked up via optical cable. I also have the moster speaker wire and a monster subwoofer cable instead of the ones that came with system. Thanks again

I really wish I could upgrade, hopefully within the next year or two.

I cant really help you out much... but i will say that i like your setup. Very empty looking - which is good.

Edit: Yeah actually i can.

For question number 3-
Its the distance from the speakers to the place where you sit.
