Default Spawn HBO Animated series

I remember probably 15 years ago now HBO did an amazing Spawn animated series it was defiantly a lot more adult oriented and more faithful to Todd McFarlane's comic book. This series was 10 times better than the movie

I'd love to see this on blu-ray! It was a great series! Put the live action movie to shame!

I still have the first release that has the episodes in a movie like format.

I wish he did a second series or continued this one.

Yes, definitely better than the movie at least 1000% better. would make a nice BD

Well, it ain't anime, but season 3 did get pretty anime-ish in the animation style.

I'd love to get a properly transferred Blu-ray of the whole series. The more recent DVD set that came out had some DNR issues and blown-out contrast. Really ruined a lot of the mood of the series, I thought.

I can't see how this will get a blu-ray release since I'm certain this was formatted on video.

Good point. A lot of shot-on-film cartoons were edited/mastered on video. Still, even a good upscale would be nice. I have the original DVDs, which I think look better than the "remastered" set, but season one is interlaced.

Yeah, this shouldn't be here. If this is anime then shows like Avatar is too!
With that said i wish HBO did more animation. America could use some adult cartoons that isn't South Park or Family Guy.

Well there's always the Adult Swim created cartoons, but most of them are pretty bad with some exceptions.

Definitely, AS animated series Venture Brothers is one of my favorite shows! But i meant "serious" adult cartoons, like Spawn.

Agreed, this is not anime at all. I remember Spawn as being a very spotty series. One of its three seasons was very bad.
