What should be the first Blu-ray movie i watch? - Blu-ray Forum

Well i am finally getting a PS3 friday and am very excited to start watching some blu-ray's. I already own 5 but i can't decide on which one i am going to watch first. I have
Speed
Ratatouille
Crimson Tide
2001 A Space Odyssey
Spiderman 3

I'm leaning towards Speed or 2001 but i am still undecided, and wanted to know what you think.

I say Ratatouille. One of my favorite movies of 2007 and probably my most watched Blu-ray. It's just a fantastic movie with reference audio and video. And great choice!

Ratatouille - by far!!!!!

Ratatouilli isn't a live-action movie, with 2001 you can not only compare it to the standard version, but you can compare it to other movies, where you see the actors faces etc..... and the definition of "real things" I think 2001 would be the first..... but If I were you, I'd stay up all night, and watch them all!!!!!

I'd go for 2001. Or The Rat.
Crimson Tide isn't bad either, it's just that those two are very very close to reference PQ.

2001: A Space Odyssey.

If you want to watch a "great" film that shouldn't even be compared to most modern crap, with reference PQ, then 2001 is a blind-watch. (Although you'll probably need eyesight to watch it.

2001 is a very good movie and it is a very good restoration as well. But not the best PQ. Also it could be very boring for some people. And some may even refuse to watch.

However, it is intriguing and could think lot about it during and after the movie.
