Default Some PSP hardware questions

First off i happen to find myself in japan and had a few questions for those who may know.

Is there any harm in buying a psp here for use in the US where i live? not that theres anything special here, just wider choice of colors.

also any chance the tv tuner add on would work in the US? very much doubt it would but oh well thought id check

and lastly, have they by chance announced the psp cradle for the US? i bet it would be cheaper there when launched

I don't think the TV tuner works because the US firmware doesn't support it...but I may be wrong.
