Default Picture of 20+ Blu-ray discs from CES

Blu-Ray disks get their cases

Consumer Electronics Show 2006 Neither pretty nor DVD-shaped

By Charlie Demerjian: Tuesday 03 January 2006, 20:06

BLU-RAY DISKS, those DRM-infected rights-removal tools disguised as movies, are going to launch real soon.
The companies involved appear to want to make them not look like DVDs so they'll stand out on the shelves. In this case, the cases, pun intended, are a semi-transparent garish blue colour, shaped slightly differently from a standard DVD case.

Hopefully, they will be close enough in dimension so they fit in the existing DVD cases and infrastructure. I was trying to get a closer look, but something about a man with 'security' written on his shirt distracted me with some probing questions. "What are you doing here?" was one of the ones I couldn't seem to answer, so I left without exact measurements.

Either way, they look like this: [Just less blurry and minus the fringe - Ed.]
In the picture we have these titles:

Behind Enemy Lines
Bram Stoker's Dracula
Dune 2000
Fantastic Four
Fifth Element
Guns Of Navarone
Hero
Hitch
Into The Blue
Kill Bill
Kung Fu Hustle
Ladder 49
Legends Of The Fall
Lord Of War
Pirates Of The Caribbean
Reservoir Dogs
Sahara
Tomb Raider
Total Recall
Troy
XXX: State Of The Union

I'll definitely be buying Dracula, Fifth Element, and Kill Bill. We just need some dates. Can't wait!!
