Default RX-V663 or RX-V863

I can get these pretty cheap. The 663 is under $250, the 863 is just over $400. Is the 863 worth it for just the little extra wattage and one more HDMI?

Cheapest place I could find the 663 was eBay. $349(new) with free shipping.

I worked weekends at BBY for a while just because of the discount. But since I don't NEED the extra cash, and my fiance works there...it all works out.

Wow, i never thought BB employees got that good of a deal on audio recievers and such. My cousins wife actually is a manager at a BB, i'll have to ask her if she could hook me up! Too bad BB doesn't carry Onkyo products!

Hmmm you know what... I get a corporate Magnolia discount b/c I work with Newscorp. Do you know if the discount extended to me through this would be as good as being a BB employee directly?

Just to clarify, this is the "B2B discount".

I do not think so. From what I understand, Magnolia employees get Denon discounts because they buy directly from the factory.

My Buddy actually got me a free Kenwood car stereo because he worked at best Buy, some kind of deal where he has to order it and wait like 8 weeks but Hey it was free !! Now I have the 663 and trust me for that price GET IT !! I have always been a Yamaha Guy I have 3 receivers in my home but the 663 sounds absolutely AMAZING !! Now thats running True HD and DTS-MA !! Since Yamaha has such good Amps the extra 10 watts and HDMI is not really worth it !! It has Pre-Amp outs if you ever want to add some real punch to your HTS
