Question about 3D BR discs - Thor, Avengers, etc.

Hello,

I've never ordered a 3D BR but I was wondering if they are 3D only or do they have a 2D version of the movies on the same disc or a second disc?

Some have,some don't.It says so on package if they have-mostly.

Avatar's 3d and 2d are on the same disc. The 7 other 3d's I have the blu ray of the 2d is on a separate disc.

As I understand, when there are "both" 3D and 2D versions on the same disk, it usually just show the image of one eye. So it is not necessarily the true 2D rendering of the same movie. By theory, this can really be different on native 3D movies.

THanks - I never really noticed it will say both BluRay 3D /Blu-Ray if it has both. For some reason I thought it would say something like Blu-Ray 3D/Blu-Ray 2D.

to answer your question. thor, avengers, and captain america are 3d disc only and have a second disc for the 2d version.
