It has always been Wrath Of Khan but now in my old age I appreciate The Motion Picture the most. I will always love all six original crew films. I really enjoy the first two TNG films and while the last two aren't bad I would put them on par with an episode of the TV series.

The three Kelvin films are not only a crime against cinema but humanity.

The 2009 one. From the classic series, I'd say The Voyage Home.

When all was said and done, I was really torn between the 2009 and First Contact. I just love both, for very different reasons obviously. In the end I settled on FC, but really, any other day it could just have easily been 2009.

I should have just flipped a coin, tbh.

I love the original cast, but I think First Contact is the best movie out of any of them. Palpable tension, great characters, an amazing villain hive mind, and some assured direction. I absolutely love that we get to see Picard as a broken man in this one. Given that he's always so measured, we get to see the extent of the damage the Borg psychologically did to him. Seeing him lose his cool and destroy his ships was so powerful because he's usually such a reserved and level-headed Englishman.

I enjoy most of them, with only The Final Frontier poking out as particularly offensive to me. They should never have let Shatner in the director's chair.

TMP, TWOK & TFF are the best by far for me. With all of the others, the many and often massive flaws -- which every trek film contains in spades -- outweigh the good stuff.

Worst for me would be the reboot 09 and Into Darkness, along with NEMESIS.

It's difficult to argue with any of this. I was planning of watching First Contact and 2009 tonight, and comparing the two. But I fell flat asleep before I got the chance. Of course, it's 2am so I still have time.

But I'm pretty much like you, in that I like most of them. 4 was excellent, as well. But Pine and the rest of the cast in 2009 were just fantastic. What a great cast. And Pine was ... terrific isn't even a strong enough word. I won't hide from being a JJ fan since the beginning. I'm sure that influenced me. The start to "Alias" had me sold SO hard right off the bat. I mean, I'm sitting there watching TV with a friend, and we're like, "What is this?"

Well, 5 years later it became pretty obvious.

It was a toss up for me between Star Trek '09 or Star Trek: Beyond (no that's not a mistake), but I've never watched any of the older Trek films (or if I have I don't remember them), and I don't really have any interest in watching them, even though I'm sure I would enjoy most of them. I'm pretty sure I watched a few episodes of the newer TV series back in the day, like Deep Space 9, and I know I enjoyed watching it, but I barely remember anything about it

All I know for sure is that I absolutely love all 3 of the newer films, even Into Darkness, but especially the first one and Beyond, and since nobody else has voted for Beyond yet, I decided to go with it (it's definitely one of my favorite 3D Blu-rays).

I do plan/hope to one day watch ALL of the Star Trek series/movies in chronological order, but I doubt that will happen anytime soon.

I didn't realize how divisive the J.J. films were. I like the first one, I didn't really like Into Darkness or Beyond. Seems as though people really love or really hate them. Pretty much how it is for anything J.J. does though.

I really need to watch The Motion Picture again. Haven't seen it since I was a kid. I have the urge to see it again despite the bad reception. I remember liking it back then. I really can't remember any of it now besides the weird suits and a single shot of Spock floating through space towards the Voyager. Must have been a striking image.

Well I did. It was a bit clunky in places, but I admire the ambition that went into it. Several great visual moments.

2009 Star Trek. Then Into Darkness was less good and then Beyond was less good than that.
