Default Best Sony Blu-Ray player.

I'm looking to purchase my first stand-alone blu ray player. I have a PS3 and I use it for gaming and so far for watching Blu-rays but I need to buy one for my home theatre room.

When I bought my new HDTV from Sony they gave me store credit which is why I am asking for the best sony blu ray, I quite the newbie when it comes to blu-ray so are there any sony models that are out or are going to be out soon that I should pay particular attention?

Any help is much appreciated.

for a standalone sony I would shoot for the BDP-S350 or 550.

But if you can go other route, the Panasonic BD30 and BD50 are nice too!

Can you sell the in store credit on ebay? I might go this route if you were interested in other players besides Sony.

I am waiting for the S550 from Sony for my first stand alone. Maybe someone should start the official, "What standalone are you buying to replace your PS3?" This is a reasonable questions once the larger number of 2.0 and 1.1 players hit the market this fall.

The S300 isn't the best player on the market but it does the trick BUT if you can wait a few month's I would recomend any of the new Sony players coming out.
