Amazon down again? - Blu-ray Forum

Is anyone else having problems accessing amazon.com. I've been trying and getting the same message as Friday when it was down. I have been trying to change my recommendations and I'll get to that screen and when I say not to use something for recommendations I get a message that the server is unavailable.

No it isn't up.
The home page and some others work, but you can't look at many items! I have tried games, music, etc. Some items seem to be fine but I can't access a lot.

Cold this be MGS4 traffic again?

CORRECTION: It is rather sporadic. Sometimes it will work with items, other times it won't.

I was just on and it was hit or miss.... I had to refresh a couple of times and that seemed to take care of it.

" NEW YORK - Amazon.com Inc. had more trouble with its Web site Monday, just days after unspecified system issues knocked the online retailer offline for more than two hours.

The extent and duration of the latest outage isn't yet known, though the site seemed to be functioning by mid-afternoon, based on tests by The Associated Press from three U.S. locations. Amazon officials did not immediately return a phone call Monday.

On Friday, Amazon's site shut down for more than two hours during the business day, giving an error code to anyone visiting it.

"Amazon's systems are very complex and on rare occasions, despite our best efforts, they may experience problems," the company said in a statement explaining Friday's outage.

A similar "service unavailable" message greeted some visitors Monday. The generic message was later replaced by an apology and a promise to restore service quickly.

Keynote Systems Inc., a California-based company that measures Web site performance, would only say it was monitoring the "fluid situation" at Amazon."

Site is still isnt 100%,as of 4 pm eastern I'm still having issues.

I've accessed it a few times today, including just now, with no issues yet.

Browsing items seems to be fine, but accessing the shopping cart or trying to check out isn't working at all for me.
