BluFive Member Member since:Jan 2007	New to The Forum. Hey whats up folks,Im new to the boards and new to the BluRay format. I just purchased the Sony BDP-S1 the other night after months of research and even though im not happy about the price I paid I know this format is gonna win in the end.The salesman actually tried to convince me that HD DVD was the way to go but after the fact that HD DVD doesnt support existing DVD and more studios are going with BluRay its safe to say HD DVD is this generations BETAMAX. Thats actually the main reason I went with BluRay,it upgrades my existing DVDs to almost HD quality. Thats the reason most people ive talked to are going with BluRay,it supports everyones Big DvD collections right now.I mean I have 1,400 DvDs and id be so pissed if those went the way of the dodo.
