Default Getting aggravated with GHIII on PS3!

Sometimes, it just plain seems out of sync. Not all the time, but every now and then. I've recalibrated, constantly. Sometimes, I'll hit a note, it lights up, and the note sounds..and at the same time..it's missed. How can I hit the note and miss it, at the same time? I'm not talking about the really hard songs either.
I have perfect scores on several songs, so it's not like I'm just terrible.
I played GHIII on my son's x-box, and don't seem to have near the issues.

So I'm wondering ...is it the PS3, the controller, or perhaps the TV?
I have a 40" Sony LCD, my son has a 26" Samsung, and he has it set to "game" on his TV.
Maybe this is the cause of my lag issues?
Any ideas?

my guess is the guitar is the one that is causing it

I've had this same issue. It just seems off and then you mess up all the time. I have no idea why it does that.

I tried playing some of the same songs on the xbox 360...
there are still some sync problems, so I'm suspecting it's NOT the LCD TVs, but rather the software it's self.

Sometimes it plays w/o a hitch. Sometimes, I'll lose all guitar sound, and only hear the bass/drums..etc...though I'll have a note streak going. Then it will just come back.

Drives me crazy.

yea ive seen this happen, but its only once in a blue moon. to the OP, once in a while you will miss the note (because of off timing of your strum) but the note will still sound, so make sure your not the one lagging yourself..

I've got the same problem. I got five stars on Med on the Wii version but I can't even get five stars on Baracuda. It's very frustrating.

it's stupid lag. It's especially noticeable when the sound goes through the receiver to standalone speakers and picture, well, on hdtv...

I've noticed that calibrating the guitar every time I play helps.

To the OP, try setting the calibration yourself. Set the delay (I think that's the term) to around 30-35 ms. That's what I have mine set on and it helped a LOT. Still not perfect though. It's the game...not your set up I promise.

I have lag with mine and its really getting on my nerves because my 360 fanboy friends keep saying its my PS3 when it is just my tv. Does anyone know how to fix lag so it is perfect?

Wireless controller?

NEW batteries fix this? Ive had this issue with my PS3 Wireless and fresh batteries clears it up.

I recently purchased a rechargeable GH3 battery pack, but yet to use it full time. Hope I dont have issues with it.

Default It's fun only through medium level

I think this game sucks for new comers. I have the Wii version, and completed all the songs through medium. The last battle against the devil was almost too hard to play, but I finally did it. Moving up to the next level is like a quantum leap in difficulty. It makes the game un-playable for me. So far, I am only able to complete one song. After many tries, I am giving up. They shouldn't make games this hard to play. It's no fun. Hopefully, they can correct this problem with the Aerosmith and World Tour editions.

It's absolutely the game that is causing the problem. Mine does it all the time and I've played it on 3 of my own different TVs. I've played 2 other friends' copies at their house, same thing. It completely ruins the game for me and I will not be buying any more Guitar Hero games. Likely no Rock Band type games either....they're just flat out getting overdone.
