That's a shame. I was at home eating when NBC broke the news and announced that he had passed away. RIP.

My condolenses go out to his family.

A true Journalist. Not like the slanted journalists we see so much of today.

This man was a giant among journalist; I will truly miss him and his love of politics. My heart goes out too his family and NBC news.

Everyone's biased, but Tim's bias was for the truth... something that doesn't seem to be taught in journalism school any longer.

I think his greatest ability (among many) was his ability to see his interviewees as people rather than talking heads with red or blue badges. He was the ultimate devil's advocate as an interviewer, yet never acted with any venom toward those on the other side of his questions.

An exceptionally tough questioner, yet immensely kind-hearted... incredibly bright, yet completely humble... a political and media insider, yet still a "true believer" in both -- Tim Russert was the ultimate journalist, and will definitely be missed.
