WTF is going on with Ebay??

I've kinda been away from it for a while but how is it that in the last 2 seconds of auctions, the prices are jumping up by $100 or more? I should have won 4 in the last 3 days based on pure auction ninja skill, but have been slammed by some abnormal numbers flying up before I can get a refresh.

Is there some new voodoo that ebay has implemented allowing high-powered bidders to put the wtfpwn on penniless paupers like myself? I am beyond furious as I could have almost completed a vinyl collection with this.

It's most likely two bidders using sniping programs...

I myself do the same thing... It's only a small fee to have a website snipe for you and in most cases, you can guarantee yourself a win...

I can't tell you how many auctions I lost before I got into sniping.. Now, I only lose due to someone having a monster bid... Besides being effective at allowing you win almost every time, you can find an auction and set the sniper way in advance and not have to worry about it since the program will notify you if 1) the bids got higher than your snipe, 2) you lost, or 3) you won.

BTW, I primarily use auctionsniper.com. Highly effective and cost is pretty low.

Yeah after stewing and pouting about it most of the day, that's what happened. Someone sniped with some huge (and unnecessary) bids and got them. The price they paid for what they got was WAY more than I would have paid anyway.

I snipe and use a countdown clock that counts down without using refresh. I can get something at 1-2 seconds. They have it for firefox
