PS Eye Question

Sorry, but I can't find the answer to this question anywhere.

PS EYE captures resolutions of up to 640x480, however, once that image is captured, does the PS3 upscale the resolution to 1080p when displayed on your HDTV?

Nope. all the pics i took are still in 640x480 even after i export them to the photo folder. I wish they would make a HD eyetoy. why this one is not HD is beyond me

Me too, I was expecting an HD eye toys... and more important... games for it... there is so few use of it...

For most applications it only captures a small window. I Can't think of many applications a full HD picture is necessary.

I am mostly looking to do video chat with it, does the PS Eye do a good job of that or does it look like a lot of webcams, which tend to look like crap.

It does a good job - With any internet connection there is going to be some bits of lag unless both sides are running optimal connections.

It does a great job handling dark rooms. It makes my room look like it's day time even as the sun has just gone down and its dark outside with no indoor lights on.

i wanted full hd pictures for the eye create program. im not worried about in-game pics.
